Microvista expands international presence with SCANEXPRESS mobile CT system
(Blankenburg (Harz), 27 March 2025) Microvista, the German specialist for industrial computed tomography and non-destructive testing, announces the Europe-wide expansion of its innovative mobile CT system SCANEXPRESS. The system is already being used successfully by a French automotive supplier.
SCANEXPRESS represents a significant advance in industrial testing technology by enabling high-precision CT analyses directly at the point of use – without the usual logistical challenges and transport risks.
‘With SCANEXPRESS, we bring the CT laboratory to the customer and not the other way around,’ explains Microvista’s managing director, Prof. Dr. Lutz Hagner. ‘This flexibility is particularly valuable for companies where transporting components to an external testing laboratory would disrupt production processes or endanger sensitive components.’
The mobile CT inspection system has been specially designed for easy transport and rapid deployment. It offers the same precision and performance as stationary CT systems, but can be installed and commissioned on site at the production facility within a very short time.
Efficient testing with customised evaluation
SCANEXPRESS impresses with its highly efficient operation: the system enables fast scans and, thanks to the integrated evaluation unit, offers the possibility of analysing CT data directly at the container. The evaluation software can be quickly adapted to the specific requirements of each customer using existing modules. A particular advantage is the expandability of the software, which can be supplemented at any time with additional component tests requested by the customer – a decisive factor for companies with growing or changing testing requirements.
The internationalisation of SCANEXPRESS comes at a time when European manufacturers are increasingly looking for efficient quality assurance solutions. Customers in the automotive, aerospace and electronics sectors in particular benefit from the ability to flexibly integrate CT testing into their production processes.
Microvista plans to initially offer the system in its core markets of Germany, France and Italy before extending availability to other European countries.
