In poros­i­ty analy­sis, we adapt to your needs. What does that mean?

For one thing, our sophis­ti­cat­ed and auto­mat­ed CT scan process allows us to check small and large quan­ti­ties of parts for the pres­ence of sig­nif­i­cant flaws in a short time. Oth­er­wise, you can also rely on high-res­o­lu­tion, excel­lent­ly eval­u­at­ed CT scans that con­form to rel­e­vant indus­try and man­u­fac­tur­er stan­dards when it comes to first arti­cel inspec­tion. In any case, you will receive a high lev­el of process reli­a­bil­i­ty and at the same time indi­vid­ual, needs-based evaluations.

Extreme­ly fast & affordable

Par­tic­u­lar­ly in the devel­op­ment phase of a new com­po­nent or when a new devi­a­tion sud­den­ly appears, you want to know quick­ly where you stand. This saves mon­ey and nerves. Com­po­nents made of light met­al or plas­tic with an envelop­ing cylin­der of d= 500 mm and a cumu­la­tive mate­r­i­al occu­pan­cy of approx. 200 mm can be digi­tised with­in a few sec­onds. This opens up options for action almost as quick­ly. Favourable inspec­tion costs are also derived from the high scan­ning speed (see price list below). For a batch that is blocked, e.g. due to pores in machin­ing sur­faces, inspec­tion is there­fore also an eco­nom­i­cal alter­na­tive to scrapping.

In an auto­mat­ic process, the test zone is unrolled and inspect­ed for imper­mis­si­ble pores.

Short­ly after the CT is unloaded, it is already clear whether the inspect­ed com­po­nent belongs to the IO or NIO cat­e­go­ry. This means that the appro­pri­ate sort­ing can also be car­ried out in the same work step.

Han­dling dom­i­nates the machine occu­pan­cy time. For larg­er quan­ti­ties, the process­es can be fur­ther accel­er­at­ed through automation.

Indi­vid­ual & Reliable

Inspec­tion accord­ing to the var­i­ous stan­dards of car man­u­fac­tur­ers and asso­ci­a­tions requires a high-res­o­lu­tion scan data set. The exe­cu­tion is process-safe, stan­dard-com­pli­ant and in a prac­ti­cal form of pre­sen­ta­tion. Reli­able state­ments with clear indi­ca­tion of remain­ing uncer­tain­ties are a mat­ter of course.

A high res­o­lu­tion enables detailed state­ments to be made about the con­crete shape of the shrink­age cav­i­ties and pore geometry.

In the stan­dard process, all orders are processed with­in 14 days at the latest.

If the parts do not have a ser­i­al num­ber, they are reg­is­tered with an inter­nal num­ber dur­ing part receipt. Both the scan data and the analy­ses and reports cre­at­ed in sub­se­quent pro­cess­ing steps then refer to this num­ber. This ensures 100% trace­abil­i­ty of all work steps. Microvista’s qual­i­ty man­age­ment sys­tem is cer­ti­fied accord­ing to ISO 9001/2015 as well as ISO 9100, which is impor­tant in the aero­space industry.

Ulti­mate­ly, the analy­sis of pores and shrink­age cav­i­ties is rarely lim­it­ed to their mere detec­tion. It is always just as impor­tant to quan­ti­fy their size. As with any oth­er mea­sure­ment method, the deter­mi­na­tion of the pore dimen­sion is sub­ject to error. The remain­ing uncer­tain­ty is depen­dent on a vari­ety of fac­tors, such as

Reli­able analy­sis results do not come about on their own, even with the best equip­ment. In addi­tion to the exper­tise of the pro­cess­ing staff, estab­lished process­es for uncer­tain­ty assess­ment are required.
