We use two dif­fer­ent CT systems: 
1) Lab­o­ra­to­ry CT: 450/ 225kV BIR/ Var­i­an with line and area detector 
2) Fast CT/ AT-Line: Siemens Somatom AS+

We use the CT lab­o­ra­to­ry for ini­tial sam­pling of com­po­nents, for assem­bly con­trol, for CAD target/actual com­par­i­son, for exam­i­na­tion of the gen­er­al poros­i­ty and for pore analy­sis accord­ing to OEM standard.

Our fast CT/AT-Line is used for series or series-accom­pa­ny­ing tests, for assem­bly checks and for poros­i­ty tests.

Funktionsweise CT

Depend­ing on the tech­ni­cal imple­men­ta­tion, the test object rotates or a sys­tem con­sist­ing of X‑ray source and detec­tor. The test object is illu­mi­nat­ed from many direc­tions. The result­ing X‑ray images are called pro­jec­tions. Using a lot of math­e­mat­ics, a dig­i­tal image of the test object can then be cre­at­ed from these pro­jec­tions, which also con­tains a good approx­i­ma­tion of its inner structure.

Depend­ing on the com­po­nent size and mate­r­i­al, tests can be per­formed with a spa­tial res­o­lu­tion between 0.02 and 1 mm.
